Summer projects:

In addition to working my first real job, I have some side-projects I plan on completing over the summer so I can start to look for representation in the fall.

  1. Finish my book:
  • It’s a self-help guide with a foundation in dry wit. It’s going to be good, if I can finish it.

     2. Finish at least one spec script:

  • I’ve started 3 (Simpsons, Parks and Rec, Glee) and I just want to finish one, dammit.

     3. Get back into music:

  • I used to be in a comedic band called Seriously Funny =] (check us out) but the band broke up and I’ve missed creating music laced with humor and terrible singing voices all set to the tune of catchy music, ever since. I really want to get back into it and I think I’ve found just the right person to pair up with.

Those are my short-term career goals for the summer. None of these things will make me any money in the immediate future, but they’ll help comprise the total package I’ll be shopping around, I hope, come October/November.

I’ll keep everyone updated on my progress…it should be an interesting journey.

I’m an adult…

…at my real job after my real college graduation really listening to “Boyfriend” by Justin Bieber while sitting at my desk. What has my life come to? Oh wait, it hasn’t really changed.

Thad is the man

Thad Castle is one of my favorite TV characters ever. There’s so much depth to him. Complication. Simplicity. Manly football player high-pitched girlish shrieks…and he calls girls “sloots.” Seriously, an incredible character…bro-beans.

Parks And Recreation Returns Tonight

That is all.
